Creative Portfolio

Co-facilitated with Marika Garcia and Shonda Moore at the Native Americans in Philanthropy 2026 Conference in Maara'yam (Riverside, CA), this workshop invited participants to collectively zine-make in response to Reclaiming Our Stories: Voices of Indigenous Peoples of California — a California Humanities podcast series centering California Native voices, land-based memory, and intergenerational truth-telling. Together we asked: Who tells the story of this land? What truths are we reclaiming? What languages carry our futures? What kind of ancestor will I become? What emerged reflects many truths across many peoples and lands.

Toj + Tijax is a collaborative zine-making and ceremonial creative practice I co-create with KC Canton, centered on narrative sovereignty and collective world-building. Together we move through altars + seasonal offerings, ceremonies + fire circles, community workshops, and exhibitions, publications + print offerings — weaving story, ritual, and art as one continuous thread. This is the heart of my creative work.

The Decolonization Project was an early container for my organizing and cultural work — a space where I began weaving together narrative, ceremony, and community practice before Ceiba Futures took root. It planted many of the seeds that continue to grow through my work today.
