Casa Ceiba - Residency Tracks

Three pathways for creative practice, healing, and reciprocal exchange

Casa Ceiba offers three residency tracks designed to honor the rhythm of your body, the stage of your creative practice, and the relationship you wish to cultivate with the land and community of Santiago Atitlán. These tracks are not tiers — they are ways of arriving. Each residency is co-designed in collaboration with you, rooted in Maya cosmology, ancestral time, and reciprocal practice.

Root — Grounding & Clarity

Root is a grounding track for artists, culture bearers, and organizers seeking clarity, direction, or realignment. Whether you’re beginning a new project or returning to an older vision, Root helps you reconnect with purpose through reflection in relation with land, ancestors, and the lake.

Residents work with guided support to articulate vision, clarify values, and strengthen their creative or cultural practice. Optional sessions with Maya cultural practitioners can deepen your grounding through cosmology, story, and place-based wisdom.

Bloom — Creation & Cultural Exchange

Bloom is for active creation, experimentation, and collaboration. This track supports artists who want to develop a project, expand their practice, or learn alongside local culture bearers in Santiago Atitlán.

Residents engage with the living cosmology and creative traditions of the region through optional weaving sessions, natural dye explorations, conversations with elders, and exchanges with artisan collectives. Bloom supports making, learning, and weaving together — art as ceremony, collaboration as reciprocity.

Dream — Rest & Imagination

Dream is a restorative track for those seeking stillness, healing, and imagination. This residency supports rest as creation — a return to rhythm, breath, and a slower relationship with time.

Dream residents are invited to move gently, attune to the lake, sleep, read, journal, visit the market, or simply be. Optional cosmology sessions and guided reflection support soft dreaming with the land, the mountains, and the spirit of the lake.
