What are you bringing into your residency?
I am approaching the residency with curiosity, excitement and a deep desire to expand my own consciousness with an open mind and a genuine interest in learning and growing. I am happy to enter into the residency offering the fruits of decades of artistic practice-I am honored and thrilled to add color and context to Casa Ceiba with a mural and any artistic knowledge the community would like to learn about. I am also bringing Peruvian cuisine and knowledge of Peruvian and American herbal remedies.
What drew you to Casa Ceiba?
I was looking for a unique residency experience that is steeped in indigenous practices, myth, ritual and eco feminism. I did so much research online looking for an experience that aligns with my path right now. I have an honest desire to expand my own understanding of things so that I can amplify that understanding by incorporating it into public art that will elevate the collective consciousness as a whole. Casa Ceiba offers a unique opportunity to learn about things that I feel are important to human evolution-in an environment that is sacred and steeped in old and valuable traditions.
